Thursday Thirteen
Well, this post is one that is long overdue. Y'all have been with me through bitch sessions and complaints, and various other indications that I'm not happy with my life. And then there are some who are watching in order to find ammo to blow up my already disasterous existance.
Well, to those people I say a big FU.... well, let's keep the premise of a PG rating right now.
I don't care what anyone thinks about the reasons behind this post. I know what mine are, and unless you're a mind reader or psychic (and if you're the latter -quick what are tomorrow's lottery #'s?), you have no idea what I'm thinking.
So here are thirteen reasons why my husband is a wonderful man.
13. He remembers to bring me home Diet Coke. Anytime. If he's out getting something, he'll remember to grab me a diet coke. Whether it's for the ten minute car ride home from work, or a case because I've ran out at the house - he'll always think of it.
12. He sacrifices his weekends for my family. My father always has a project on the go, and Rod will be right out there with him. As a man who's had a heart attack and a quad bypass, my father will never ask for help, unless it's DEFINATELY a two person job. But regardless of the project, Rod's out there. It might take all day on a Saturday, leaving him exhausted for Saturday night, but he will do it.
11. He'll take a Saturday night when I'm working, where he could easily make plans, to stay home with my grandmother so my parents can have a break and go out. He'll sit up in the family room with her and watch a movie - which, with the grandparents is usually a black and white and probably out of the fourties.
10. No matter how frustrated he gets with me or my family, he never goes back on his word. If he says he's going to do something, he'll do it.
9. If there's someone he doesn't like, but I do, he'll put up with them in our lives simply for the fact of making me happy.
8. He's constantly tripping over things because I'm so disorganized, but rarely complains.
7. He kisses me three times before he leaves for work in the morning.
6. Even when he has the weekend off, he'll let me sleep and go get coffee down at Tim's himself - and if everyone's home, he'll grab it for them too.
5. He puts up with my Styx obsession no matter where it leads me.
4. Every Christmas he leaves his sisters house early, just so we can make it to my aunt's in time to do some carrolling, which is a tradition in my family.
3. He text messages me in the middle of the day for no other reason but to say I love you.
2. He waits up for me if I have a late shift at my night job, even if he has to work the next day.
1. Despite it all, he's still here.
Well, that's not ALL the reasons he's wonderful - but it's thirteen and thus I have completed the requirements for today's meme.
Stay sane inside insanity ~ and never forget your towel.
