Completely stuck

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHH.

Writer's block has set in. I can't think - can't imagine - I'M STUCK!!!!

I have tried every exersize in the book - creative visualization (kind of worked, but not for the writing - wakka wakka - wink wink), writing the first thing that came to mind (which happened to be the first line of this post), idea trees, timelines, looking at old letters - NOTHING has worked.

I can't even come up with an idea for a decent blog post - DANA - can I borrow Bessie? Seriously folks, for someone who used to write every day, this is incredibly disconcerting. Especially since I read all the brilliance that is blogged by our resident couch, the luggage et al. I'm starting to have an inferiority complex.

WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?????????

Yes, I am spending a lot of time yelling at nothing these days. Well, frustration will do that to you.

So, on that note

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGHHHHHHH!

Dana, tell Bessie I'm coming over - put on the hot chocolate and cookies.

Bwahahaha! I think you'll have to fight Dana for the cow! However, I might be able to find a goat who will be your muse...but he insists on being paid, upfront, in hay, feed, apples, paper (minus the clips), shoelaces, clapboard siding and all the rind from every tree around your place. He's a bit stubborn and hard-headed, but, if you let him be, he'll help you come up with something to write...when he finishes eating. On the other paw, I could get you a nice hen to be your muse. She'll work for chicken feed!

I so understand this!! I've been in and out of it for awhile now. Starting to emerge, but still nervous.

I wish I had an easy fix for ya. Hang in there!

I'm back and making my rounds. I miss reading stuff you have to say.

So you got distracted by the glitter I sprinkled in the luggage huh? No brilliance there sweetie... just talk to us.. that my ramblings pass for writing still shocks the hell out of me.

Now come here so I can SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE you.. and maybe grope once or twice.

*wink*

You know what I have discovered...sometimes I drift from blog to blog and comment my heart out. Then, I freeze and think: "Okay, why am I writing paragraph after paragraph here and not posting this stuff to my own blog????"

I think you'll break this block. One other thing I would suggest: keep a little notebook by your side and jot down things as they occur to you. I keep a large notebook by my bed. Nothing to do with the blog, mind you, more to do with putting down story ideas. Still, anything helps.

Breathe and relax, try not to think about anything. That is when I can usually write something. Sometimes it is nonsense, sometimes it is deep (I'm so deep...not!). It'll come.
